This easy, yet impressive pattern from Robert Kaufman is a great way to show off a set of batiks you love - quilt in an afternoon, anyone? (This is a GREAT beginner project for those that aren't attracted to the Jelly Roll Race pattern!)
All you'll need to make the quilt top shown above is any 40-strip set of batiks you love, and a 1-1/4 yard cut of contrasting background fabric (plus a half-yard for binding). That's it!
